263rd Battle Reenactment Update – Sunday, August 2

Due to persistent rain and wet field conditions, today's 263rd Battle Reenactment has been canceled.

Following careful consideration, the decision was left to the participating reenactors. Last evening, the majority voted to break camp before the heaviest rain arrived and return home to protect their equipment, supplies, and personal belongings. As a result, our sutlers have also departed.

Because black powder demonstrations cannot be conducted safely in rainy conditions, today's battle reenactment cannot take place.

The Bushy Run Battlefield Museum remains open, and all indoor programming will continue as scheduled. Several of our Native American interpreters have chosen to remain in camp and will be available to visit with guests throughout the day.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and thank our reenactors, volunteers, interpreters, and visitors for their continued support despite the weather. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for next year's reenactment.
