Bushy Run Walking Trails

Explore the natural beauty and rich history of Bushy Run Battlefield on more than 200 acres of scenic woodlands, meadows, and historic landscape. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll, a vigorous hike, or simply a chance to enjoy the outdoors, our trail system offers something for everyone.

Several named trails begin near the Visitor Center and Museum, including the Haudenosaunee Trail, Flour Sack Trail, and the popular Edge Hill Trail. At approximately one mile in length, the Edge Hill Trail provides visitors with an excellent overview of the park's diverse terrain and historic features. Along the way, interpretive signs help tell the story of the Battle of Bushy Run and the events that shaped the Pennsylvania frontier in 1763. Printed maps of the trail network can be found in the museum.

Additional trails can be accessed from the parking area on the south side of the park. These routes wind through the property's forests and fields, offering opportunities for hiking, jogging, birdwatching, photography, and wildlife observation.

Whether you're visiting for history, recreation, or a peaceful escape into nature, Bushy Run's trails provide a unique opportunity to experience both the landscape and the legacy of this historic site.

Help Us Improve Our Trails!
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the development of an updated trail map for the property. This project would make an excellent Eagle Scout project, school service project, or community volunteer opportunity.
