History Speaks: Voices From the Attic Book Talk

Join us at Bushy Run Battlefield on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:00 PM for an evening with local historian and author Carleton Young, who will present a special book talk on his work, Voices From the Attic: The Williamstown Boys in the Civil War.

Young’s book grew from the remarkable discovery of a collection of Civil War letters found in his family’s attic. His years of research uncovered the story of two Vermont brothers who served in the Union Army and documented their experiences through detailed letters home.

A longtime Pittsburgh-area educator and historian, Young holds a Ph.D. in the history of education from the University of Pittsburgh and spent 37 years teaching AP American History.
